It really is a golden age for French Rugby. Whenever I see a French team sheet it really is a buffet of the crème de la crème of Rugby Union Superstars.
The Starting XV against Wales has the perfect juxtaposition of massive bulldozing forwards and genius graceful backs.
New Welsh scrum coach Adam Jones might be wishing he’d stayed at Quins as his inexperience front row see themselves up against a tighthead scrum combo of Mauvaka, Antonio and Meafou – 400Kgs of Polynesian French megapower.
Wales will hope for a dry paddock so that scrums are too a minimum but then they will be serving up 5 pointers on a silver platter to the dynamic backline to the Dupont/Ntamack Axis who I am sure are foaming at the mouth for some Friday Night Lights.
Special mention for Louis Bielle Biarrey who showed glimpses of his excellence against the AB’s in the autumn – I feel this 6 Nations could be his true arrival on the world stage.
Could be a long night for Aux Pays De Galles.
